Knit 1 Purl 1 is run by Denise Davies & Carole Garwood. we started the group in March 2015. Our passion is to "knit the community together".

 

We live in a society where we have a population many of whom are increasingly isolated, lonely, depressed, suffer from anxiety, or are new to the area.

 

Our aim is to see people loved & have somewhere to come every week where they can make new friends, have fun & feel wanted in a relaxed supportive environment. 

 

Friday's 12:00pm - 4:00pm 

 

We would love you to come have a look at our small friendly group & say hello to us, have a brew & chat, don't be nervous you may come as a stranger but leave as a friend.

 

Please feel free to ask any questions, we will do our very best to answer them.

 

We knit squares to make blankets for the homeless & elderly, as well as hats, gloves & scarves for our dedicated street team to take & distribute when they go out. Up to press we have completed & distributed 16 blankets.  Our other projects include hats, gloves for the homeless, baby blankets for 'talkthru', twiddle mats for those suffering from Dementia,baby cardigans for preemies for Leeds General Infirmary.
